This wool warp made in the US by Brown Sheep is a very strong single-ply yarn that comes undyed in 2 lb. cones. Perfect warp for tapestry weaving. Approximately 2,240 yards per cone.
Brown Sheep Weavers Wool Warp is used in frames or looms, applied length-wise, to hold your project's tension. The yardage varies, dependent on your loom or frame size.
How to apply:
With your first strand, measure the length according to the size of your frame or loom (measurements should include enough slack to attach to the warp). Next, multiply by the number of strands needed, and you should end up with the amount you will need for your project!
For anything you are weaving that you want to felt (like rugs, placemats, bench covers, the list goes on) - this wool warp is a must. You may wash on a regular cycle and let it felt to lock in the weft fibers. For example - weaving a cotton chenille rug for a bathmat!

"We use a non-insecticide chemical called Ecolan CEA to moth-proof our wool. It is added to the dye bath at the same time as the dyes and is “permanent” in the sense that it will not wash, rub, or dry clean off the wool. The treatment works as an insect resist agent by making the wool protein unpalatable to the wool moth larvae."
