Every so often, we open pre-orders on our line of sashiko thread. During this time, you can, you can order any colors you wish and we will dye them for you. Your order will be ready in 2 weeks.
If you order items that are in stock and items listed as DYE-TO-ORDER, all items will be held and shipped by the estimated ship date of the dye-to-order. If you would like those items shipped separately, please create two separate orders.

Naturally-dyed by hand in our Oakland studio, using leaves, flowers, and roots, this sashiko thread is made with love. We dye on thread spun in Japan by Daruma. It has a beautiful sheen and is incredibly durable. Each hank measures approximately 43 y / 40 m. Use it to mend your favorite jeans, or to create embroidered patterns.
Palettes consist of 6 hanks. The Mother's Day Palette is inspired by spring flowers and greenery. The July Palette is inspired by dark glossy leaves, warm adobe bricks, deep shadows, and hot summer skies. The Friendship palette relishes in happy shades of pink, orange, yellow, green, and blue - evocative of the warm, fuzzy feelings of hanging out with your best friend. The Harvest palette is inspired by our annual corn harvest.
