Meditating saves my sanity. So it only seemed natural to create a beautiful, naturally-dyed meditation cushion to accompany my practice. The piecework pattern I used, called Log Cabin, is easy to create, and emulates the practice of centering one's attention. Each of the four fabrics is dyed with madder root in an ombré. Either look to my sample to create yours, or mix and match the fabrics as you see fit.If you do not meditate, this is still a wonderful floor pillow.
To stuff your meditation cushion, you will need - a plant-based material. You could also use wool, cotton, or purchase a meditation cushion (also called a zafu) and use this pattern to cover it.
