I choose this yarn based on the beautiful mix of purple shades,and when I heard it was silk,I looked forward to the texture. In regards to color and texture, I was not disappointed, but unfortunately this is where my satisfaction ended. It seems the silk strands are mostly twisted together, causing so many areas of weakness that the yarn broke frequently at the slightest pull. I am returning this yarn, as it has proven impossible to knit with, and considering I had wanted to use this for creating a gift, I could never consider doing so with the many knots I had to tie. Very poor quality yarn.
